PRINCETON — On the reality TV show “Bar Rescue” Chef Brian Duffy is used to turning around struggling kitchens, but Sunday, September 14, 2014  he was in Princeton for a different sort of challenge – to create a nutritious meal with ingredients accessible to low-income families.

Duffy said he was “stoked” to work his culinary magic at the Community Park School where he prepared two dishes – South African chicken stew and bacon and basmati fried rice.

Duffy’s appearance, during which he invited students on hand to get an up close and personal demonstration while offering basic cooking tips. was part of an effort to raise awareness of the growing problem of Princeton youth not always having access to wholesome meals – particularly on weekends.
